Big Book of Buds # 4 Ch9 Publications
Ch9 G Bolt Fem by Ed Rosenthal
The CH9 G Bolt acquired its shorter zippier name from itsmama, the G Bolt Motarebel, which is an indica/sativa mix hailing from the USA. The G Bolt Motarebel mother is often just referred to as Motarebel for short, but her parentage is better described by G Bolt—a Pacific G-13 clone crossed with a Yumboldt male from Sagarmatha. In this offering from CH9 Female Seeds, the Motarebel mother is crossed with a cubed hybrid CH9 Flower male (a strain also in thisbook). The result is a variety with a dominant indica plant profile but a surprising undercurrent of sativa influence in its effects. The CH9 G Bolt has dark thick leaves and a vine-like growth pattern. It branches easily and resembles a tropical grape plant. As such, it does better in a screen of green than a sea of green setup. Hydroponics farmers may have an easier time bringing out the strong G Bolt aroma and producing more gland-laden flowers. The G Bolt tends to forgive minor errors and to bounce back when the problemis fixed. This strong vigor makes it a good choice to build beginner confidence. The CH9 G Bolt was developed mainly for indoor gardens, but grows well outdoors in favorable climates such as America, Australia, and the sunnier parts of Europe. It can handle a broad range of temperatures, including slightly warm or cold temps, without too much complaint. This plant typically matures in 9–10 weeks or can be harvested at the end of October if the crop was planted in mid-April. Average indoor yields are 100 grams per plant. The smell while growing is very fresh, and invigoratingly green. When finished, the buds are frosty androck hard, and the buzz harkens back to the uplifting and long lasting buzz of its maternal line, the Pacific G-13. Any grower will have pride in the quality of their CH9 GBolt harvest. Once cured, this strain retains the woodsy flavor of its Yumboldt grandpappy. The cured buds have atingly fresh pepper edge with a mild skunky undertone. This variety tends to bring on a euphoric but clear sense of things, making it a functional smoke that can accompany many daytime activities. It also has potential as good medicine, with recommendations for use in anxiety, arthritis, and multiple sclerosis.
Ch9 Flower fem by Ed Rosenthal
The fresh sweet scent of a CH9 Flower bouquet truly reminds you that cannabis buds are flower blossoms! This variety brings back memories of the old-school skunk landraces that were ironically misnamed since the true Skunk was anything but skunky and funky. This strain is more accurately named for the sweet fruity and earthy smell that hangs deeply on the air like fresh ripe flowers. Those who liked the Max 49 strain known among California medical users in years past will find a close approximation in this offering from CH9 Female Seeds line. CH9 Flower is a feminized variety that grows best indoors, but can grow outdoors in hospitable regions where the growing season lasts through the end of October. This plant is versatile and can either be pruned and grown in a sea of green, or allowed to multi-branch in hydro or soil. It branches well and can grow to sizes of 6–7 feet tall (2 meters). CH9 Flower is a terrific plant for closet cultivating or a home box garden. The buds have enviable crystal production and lush, deep green foliage. The final results possess a delicacy that may impress others who assume such subtlety was challenging in the garden. However, this variety is actually quite agreeable and vigorous, and shows flexibility to mild fluctuations in garden conditions. Once cured, CH9 Flower has a very uplifting and complex aroma. Because of its lovely and subtle tones of flavor, the CH9 Flower is best appreciated in a vaporizer. Taste connoisseurs will be sure to delight in its naturally aromatic perfume and enjoy it as a flavor experience. The high delivers an energy that is clear and euphoric, cerebral and psychedelic, enticing thought, but also bending the mind in unexpected directions.
Ch9 Jack 33 Fem by Ed Rosenthal
CH9 Jack 33 was developed with the goal of combining potency and vigor in a plant that, when smoked, would not lead to high tolerance for the medical or routine user. This feminized strain comes from a cross of a Dutch CH9 Jack mother with female pollen from the CH9 Flower strain. The CH9 Jack was a multiple-hybrid of mixed origin. The resultis a soaring happy perma-grin pot with a high threshold for regular use.CH9 Jack 33 was intended for indoor gardens, although balmy climates with a long grow season will also allow this strain to move into the great outdoors and still finish by mid-October. This strain is particularly happy when grown with organics. Maximum yields for outdoor plants can be achieved by germinating this plant indoors in February or March and then transplanting outdoors when the weather becomes friendly enough not to jeopardize the plants.Genetically speaking, these plants slightly favor sativa, but their structure and effects would lead one to overestimate the sativa makeup. The CH9 Jack 33 plant takes on the traditional Christmas tree shape and has thin leaves that fade from dark to light green as the plants ripen. The solid, symmetrical branching and good internodal spacing make this a congenial plant to clone. Clones root well and begin vegetating quickly. On average, these plants reach 6 feet (2 meters) in height at maturity. The buds shine with frost over a medium-dense dark green bud with conspicuous orange hairs. This strain develops a distinctly musky smell as plants reach maturity. CH9 Jack 33 has a sweet spicy grape aroma with haze undertones, and a clean refreshing feeling in the mouth. The high may bring out your inner hippie or optimistic side, with its expansive and uplifting philosophical effect. It is a strain that can be used to intensify happiness, foster meditation, and inspire creative impulses without sapping the energy needed to act upon them. Given its functional and long lasting effect, it also has potential use as a medicinal for many conditions that don’t rely on the heavier indica qualities to provide relief. The CH9 Jack 33 brings easy laughter, and the mild sense of amazement that psychedelics often induce as they take effect.
